57 Best Sites to Make Money Testing Websites, Apps & Games

In this post, I will show you where and how you can make money by testing websites and applications. Not just that, there are also user testing panels where you can also make money by testing games. Yes, you can get paid to test games too.

A  lot of us may think testing websites and applications may be hard, but the truth is it’s very easy to do. If you can speak your thoughts out loud while browsing the content of a website, then you are qualified to make money by testing websites and applications. It’s as easy as that! User testing is one of the easiest ways to make money online if you know where to look.

Although user testing is not as lucrative as selling for profits or affiliate marketing which drives buyer traffic to make money, it is still better than reading emails for payments.

Can You Test Websites for Money?

Website testing isn’t rocket science; it’s easy to do.  I said easy because if you are reading this, then you know how to surf the web and do the things you want to do with nobody telling you what to do and how to do it. So, you’ve got a good grasp of what we are talking about.

You know what turns you on (not that kind of ‘on’ please) and off when you are surfing a website, you know whether a button works the way it should, whether the maps load the way it should, whether a link is broken, whether the graphics on and the design of a website looks outdated or beautiful.

If you can figure all these things out, then my friend you are definitely on your way to being a fine web tester and a bonus fact is that some people make a living being a professional website tester. That’s what user testing services are all about. People make a living out of just about anything these days. Who could have thought?

Since we all know what website testing is, it’s a good time to move on and show you those sites where you can get paid to be a tester. And really, the pay is good, depending on the website itself because the pay isn’t the same for every site on the list as you would instinctively expect.

Now without further ado, I present you the list of my favorite websites for earning online income by testing websites while doing so from the comfort of your own home. And trust me, this is probably the biggest list you’ll find on the internet that shows you places where you can get paid to test also called user-testing panels.

HELLO PINGPONG

Far from what you might expect, PingPong here has nothing to do with tennis. It’s one of the newer websites in the world of user testing. PingPong helps companies and startups conduct effortless user research. They help by recruiting testers for test cases, starting from the interview stage to the payment stage. So, if you would like to be a tester on the platform, they’re worth looking into; most especially if you’re from the US.

This website works a bit differently from the other websites on this list because you don’t have a tester account that you can log into on the website, instead, you just fill your profile in a form and then you will get invitations to tests via your email address and you may be asked to fill a questionnaire before you qualify for tests.

The tests might be an interview or in the form of a screencast where you record your computer or mobile screen as a video.

Testbirds is one of my go-to websites to earn cool cash by testing websites and it’s easy to get started. You find your way to the site, sign up as a tester, and once you take your entry test and get the hang of it, then you become a qualified tester.

And that’s not all, because you get paid for your entry test once completed and that’s 5 bucks, but you get paid much higher than that when you become a qualified tester (as high as 50 bucks depending on the project you are testing). On Testbirds, you test for things like usability, bugs, design, etc. of a website or an application.

USERTESTING

Usertesting_ Get Paid to Test
Usertesting_ Get Paid to Test

Here comes the granddaddy of web testing and it’s not surprising they are because they’ve been around for a very long time and they are one of the pioneer companies that recruited testers for web testing.

To get started, you need to head to their website and sign up as a tester and they’ll require you to take a qualifying test that just involves you speaking your thoughts out loud and recording your screen while surfing a website and you’ll get paid.

Once qualified, you become a proud member, a UserTesting Pro. And once you’re in the User testing panel of testers, you can get paid to review apps and websites.

But I feel it’s important to let you know that you’ll need to download the User Testing software and install it on your computer before you can test. After installing the User Testing app which is under 20MB, you’ll take the qualification test which determines whether you are eligible to join the panel or not.

There is a User Testing app for Android on the Play Store which is safe to install on your mobile phone and a User Testing app for iPhone exists too which is meant for the IOS platform. You can take tests directly from these apps on your mobile phone.

I’ll try and get an in-depth Usertesting review up one of these days.

Analysia used to be hot way back but I don’t see much happening right now on the website. I am part of the testers on the website but I haven’t gotten any invitation lately from the website to any test cycle and the interface still looks quite dated as it used to be.

Nothing much has changed, but I shot them an email to know what’s been up. You can check them out and decide for yourself.

USERFEEL

Userfeel has been around for some time, although not as old as some panels on the list, they’ve done their bit too. The tests here range from websites to apps and you can even get hired via their website by sharing your tester profile with people. I think that’s pretty cool and you should consider joining the panel.

Userfeel has an Android app that you can download from Playstore or by just searching for Userfeel APK on Google. Userfeel registration process is easy and you can find a lot of UI testing jobs here.

You can read a detailed Userfeel review by going here.

USER INPUT

At User Input, they only need you to take tests that reflect how you feel about a particular website, in terms of the interface, the usability, encountered bugs, and things like that. You only need to record your screen as you are testing and for that simple task, believe me, you are gonna get paid.

You will need a desktop/laptop to review sites, as you’ll be recording your screen, along with your voice. Videos range from 5 to 15 minutes (or longer if you’re a more verbose person and want to take longer to explain your thoughts) and the pay ranges from $5 to $11 per test depending on what kind of review you’re doing, with some chances for bonuses.”

TESTER WORK

Tester work is owned by Global App Testing, a big player in the world of crowd-sourced testing.

“Sign up, test cool apps, make money, and work on your schedule.” That is the bold message you see plastered on a prominent part of their website when you find your way to the site. Don’t think it’s a joke anyway because these folks mean business when they say they will pay you to test apps and websites with them. Scrolling further down the website, you see something like:

  1. “Create a profile, let us know what devices you have, and pass our short QA test.”
  2. “You’ll be invited to new testing projects by email after you complete registration.”
  3. “Report bugs or complete test cases and you’ll earn money.”
